Hand woven in a 2:2 twill on my floor loom- rather than the usual plain weave structure, using whole fleeces from the native shore sheep, here with stripes  of natural colours from their fleeces.
I use the entire fleece (wool and hair) and make it into rug yarn at the North Ronaldsay Wool Mill. Woven on a cotton warp for strength, this rug is quite dense (sometimes they come out soft other times quite hard)
 
Quite soft yet hard wearing, may shed some fibres due to nature of this natural product. Would recommend this large rug being used as a feature rug in front of a fire, or bed
Not for heavy duty use.
