hand woven from speciality rug yarn made at the north ronaldsay wool mill- the revings here made from my very own sheep -white wool wrapped around a yarn core, along with a moorit coloured fleece donated to me, and processed into rug yarn, and grey roving from the communal north ronaldsay flock likewise processed.
Strong cotton warp so the weft could be densely packed in.
Quite soft and squidgy and also quite robust.
Beautiful striped pattern from the use of the 3 colours.
Would make a great statement rug in a room, but is not suitable for high traffic areas.
measures 90cm x 70cm plus 12cm twisted fringes
Can be washed with a delicate or wool machine cycle, dry flat.
