Hand woven on the ridged heddle loom using fleeces from my rescued pet sheepies, here with a variety of natural colours from their fleeces.

I use the entire fleece (wool and hair) but this rug is made from rovings so the weave is thin and quite tight- not chunky like the rug yarn rugs North Ronaldsay. Woven on a cotton warp for strength, this rug is quite flexible and not as ridged as the chunkier rug yarn rugs.

Twisted fringes

Quite soft yet hard wearing, may shed some fibres due to nature of this natural product. Would recommend this  rug being used as a feature rug in front of a fire, or bed-

Not for heavy duty use.

May contain some vegetable matter as my sheep get access to hay and straw, unlike the shore sheep
