Hand woven on the ridged heddle loom using fleeces from my rescued pet sheepies, here with a variety of stripes natural colours from their fleeces.

I use the entire fleece (wool and hair) and make it into rug yarn at the North Ronaldsay Wool Mill. Woven on a cotton warp for strength, this rug is particularly soft and squashy (sometimes they come out soft other times quite hard)

Quite soft yet hard wearing, may shed some fibres due to nature of this natural product. Would recommend this  rug being used as a feature rug in front of a fire, or bed-

Not for heavy duty use.

May contain some vegetable matter as my sheep get access to hay and straw, unlike the shore sheep
